Help us provide educational resources to bright minds.
Tutor Corps strives to inspire a love of learning in students of all backgrounds and abilities. To advance this goal, Tutor Corps’ founder, Jesse Roselin established the Tutor Corps Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Every year we award scholarships for a year of free 1:1 tutoring to students in Title 1 schools. Our tutors meet with each student weekly to provide consistent academic support and mentoring for the duration of the school year. Our program also includes mentoring, study skills support and social emotional learning, all which work in tandem to support students in middle school, high school and beyond.
Students value our tutors for their expertise and supportive mentorship. All of our tutors have extensive teaching experience, a bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university, and many have higher degrees or teaching credentials.

The Tutor Corps Foundation provides low-income students with access to a free 1:1 online tutor for the academic year. In addition to support in students’ requested subjects, our tutors have been trained to support our students as mentors, guiding them on their journeys to become their best academic selves.
Applications for the 2024-2025 academic year are now closed. Please return in spring 2025 for new opportunities.
Applicants must have access to high-speed internet and a device for accessing Zoom, be in 3rd through 12th grade, attend a Title I school, and be recommended by a teacher and parent.

We are so proud of the students we support through our Foundation. Here are some of their stories:
David, 6th grader: “I want to challenge myself to be the best I can be and to go above and beyond in math, which will help me achieve my dream job of becoming a constructor. I love to build things!”
Maiceo, 8th grader: “One day, I want to be able to support my family and maybe open my own business. I am grateful for all the extra help in school to help me achieve my dreams, especially because it’s just me and my mom supporting each other since my dad passed.” Learn more about his story on our blog!
Tatiana, 9th grader: “My academic goal is to have a good future and to get a degree that can let me help other people. I love science because I love experimenting with new things and ideas.”
Sharmaine, 12th grader: “My dream job is to become a nurse because during all my experiences being hospitalized during my childhood, nurses inspired me by how they help people in need. I want to become the first person in my family to go to college and achieve this dream.”
